Gift Vouchers

🎁 Gift Voucher – Terms & Conditions

📍 Issuer: Sumac Room, Milton Keynes
💳 Type: Non-refundable store credit
📅 Validity: 12 months from date of issue (unless otherwise stated)

1. 🏷️ Issuer

Gift vouchers are issued by Sumac Room, a trading entity registered in the United Kingdom.

2. 🍽️ Redemption & Scope of Use

  • Vouchers are valid only at Sumac Room, Milton Keynes

  • Can be redeemed against food & drinks consumed on-site

  • 🚫 Not valid for takeaway, delivery, or third-party purchases (unless agreed in writing)

3. 📅 Booking Requirements

  • Reservations are strongly recommended

  • Guests must mention voucher use when booking

  • Present voucher (physical or digital) on arrival

  • 🚫 Failure to notify in advance may result in refusal on the day

4. ⏳ Validity Period

  • Standard validity: 12 months from issue date

  • Expiry is final — expired vouchers will not be accepted

5. 🚫 Non-Refundable & Non-Exchangeable

  • Vouchers are non-refundable

  • Cannot be exchanged, transferred, resold, or redeemed for cash

6. 💷 Partial Redemption

  • If your spend is less than the voucher value, the balance remains valid until expiry

  • 🚫 No cash or credit refunds for unused balances (unless legally required)

7. 🔒 Lost or Stolen Vouchers

  • Customers are responsible for safekeeping

  • Lost/damaged/stolen vouchers are not replaceable

  • Replacement (if offered) is at management’s discretion and may incur a fee

8. 📆 Exclusion Periods

Vouchers may not be redeemable during certain dates, e.g.:

  • 🎄 Christmas Eve

  • 🎆 New Year’s Eve

  • ❤️ Valentine’s Day

  • 📑 Other blackout dates will be published in advance and may change

9. 🚫 No Use with Other Promotions

  • Vouchers cannot be used alongside other discounts, promotions, or fixed-price menus (unless stated otherwise on the voucher or agreed in writing)

10. 🔄 Transferability

  • Vouchers may be transferred unless marked “Non-transferable”

  • Any misuse may result in cancellation without refund

11. 📜 Right of Cancellation

  • Customers who purchase online/phone have a 14-day cancellation right (if unused) under UK law

  • Requests must be made in writing

12. 🔐 Data Protection

  • Customer data is handled under the UK Data Protection Act & GDPR

  • Used only for voucher processing & bookings

13. ⚖️ Liability

Sumac Room is not liable for delays/failures caused by events outside its control (e.g. strikes, health restrictions, natural events).

14. 📝 Variation & Termination

We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time without notice. The version in force at the time of booking applies.

15. 🇬🇧 Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
